literary element

So this is the hardest paper I've ever had to write. And I think I picked the hardest song possible to analyze. Awesome, right? So I'm using allusions as my literary element, which there are plenty of, religious ones, specifically, but which direction do I take them!? How do I connect them with the actual meaning of the song? There are so many different directions I could go with this... Sooooooo confused.
