i love cats.

These are just two of ten. I know, I know... crazy cat lady. I'm ok with that though.
So we have...
1. Woody
2. Grey Kitty (Crickity?)
3. Grace
4. Kitty
5. Oreo (Dude)
6. Sophie
7. Kathy
8. Bill (Boo or Boobie or Boo Bear)
9. Edward
10. Stumpy (she has no tail)

There ya go. I have a lot of cats and I'm obsessed with them :)

I would leave my head behind if it wasn't attached to my body. I lose EVERYTHING! I can't count the number of pieces of jewelry I've lost. I'm on my 4th driver's license, 3rd debit card, always lost my school IDs in high school, already lost my Ball State ID once, but let the countdown begin of how many of those i'm gonna lose... that won't be the first time. You name it, there's a very good chance I've lost it at some point in my life. I've lost my little brother for God's sake. When I get married, I will be that girl... the girl who loses her wedding ring. It's inevitable. This is bad. Really, really bad.

It's funny how the worst of situations make you stronger, inside and out.
Someone can tear you down and tear you down and it ends up making you a better person.
It ends up being their loss.
And someone else's gain.

Well I've been running from something
Twenty years in my car
Down a road that's leading me nowhere
Yeah we drive through the farmland
No one knows where we're from
Could I kiss you and make you a queen?
Or something in between

Do you want to see
The place where I was free?
Cause in my mind I need it
But you're nowhere near to me

Move to new york city
Take your woman by the hand
Leave her there with your things on the doorstep
And there's no way around it
Could this be our last dance?
So fall asleep with the TV darling
I'll be back again

Do you want to see
The place where I was free?
'Cause in my mind I've been there
And there's no one here but me

In the morning it'll find you
Let the light shine away
Down a road that's leading me nowhere
And there's no way around it
Could this be our last dance?
Just fall asleep with the TV darling
I'll be back again
I'll be back again

So many different possible meanings.

A Long Way Gone

I found Ishmael to be beyond inspirational. His wit and sense of humor just proves his resilience to overcome the past. His ability to forgive not only others, but himself, is truly remarkable. Being in that situation, I could only imagine the strain and the images it left in his mind to have forever. Like I stated earlier, his sense of humor and ability to forgive were two of the qualities I noticed that were the most profound. Even though he was "still good" at rapping, he wouldn't perform some for us, which is something I would've loved to have seen. But most importantly, in my eyes, was his ability to forgive those who took his life away. He saw the importance of moving on and making himself a more whole, respectable person. And through forgiving himself, he finally gave himself the chance to move on and become the man he has always wanted to be, and to prove that he's not longer a soldier of war, but a soldier of life.

"Some of the greater things in life are unseen. Thats why you close your eyes when you kiss, cry, or dream."
-Anonymous

I haven't been afraid to close my eyes. And I've found some pretty amazing things. Especially lately. Who would've thought.

Memoir

Who would've thought you couldn't put metal, particularly foil, in a microwave? I missed that memo. I was starving so I needed a quick fix. I opened the refridgerator only to find such an inticing, delicious-looking piece of pizza, wrapped in foil, awaiting my stomach. So I plopped that piece of Heaven into the microwave and began the countdown till it was in my mouth. Only seconds later, a blue, fiery haze engulfed the inside of the microwave. Now the smart, intelligable thing to have done would to have been to stop the microwave and put out the fire. What do I do? I run. Fortunantly, my mom heard my piercing screams and came to the rescue. My slice of pizza was annihilated. The kitchen was filled with smoke, and the fire alarm was screeching. No more pizza. No more microwave. And I was STILL hungry.

Anyone else noticed how nice the people that hang out at the "smoker's circle" are? I'm not a smoker myself, but one of my friends is. So I was down there with her and found it to be an interesting spot. Hookah, cigarettes, and music is all they needed. Despite the fact that they stay up sooo incredibly late and I can hear them yelling/singing/just talking until about 2 a.m., they're cool people to get to know :)
